EBARA's model EVMU vertical multistage pumps
ROCK HILL, SC - OCTOBER 12, 1999 - EBARA International Corporation (EIC) Standard Pump Division announces the addition of a new vertical multistage pump to its stainless steel product line. With initial hydraulic coverage to 100 GPM and 800 feet TDH, the Model EVMU is ideally designed for booster, water purification, and hot water applications.

State of the art formed stainless steel and several proprietary internal components makes the EBARA Model EVMU superior to existing designs.

The EVMU material is between 50 to 100% thicker than all current designs for a true industrial design with cast stainless steel flanges for maximum installation support.

The splined shaft is custom designed with true squared edges to eliminate sliding between close contact surfaces. The EVMU is the only multistage pump currently available with forged precision couplings that are key driven to both the motor and pump shafts to ensure a positive connection and drive.

With a unique casing cover design and vent connection location, the EVMU seal chamber is positively vented preventing seal damaging air pockets. Pump bearings and sleeves are made of tungsten carbide with elastomers selected for high temperature operation. The EVMU is the only design fitted with a dish-shaped insert that provides smooth flow and prevents accelerated erosion in high velocity areas within stages. A floating liner ring, constructed of proprietary materials, prevents temperature swelling at high temperatures.

The EVMU is uniquely designed to eliminate pressure deformation and leakage due to thermal expansion. The EVMU (above 3HP) is equipped with an external thrust bearing to absorb loads and eliminate the need for non-standard motors.
